Dunning Engine Pro ("DEP") is a Shopify app that monitors subscription payment failures, classifies decline reasons, and sends automated recovery emails on your behalf. By installing and using DEP, you agree to these terms.
DEP sends transactional recovery emails to your customers using the email address and templates you configure. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of recovery emails complies with applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.). DEP sends emails only in response to failed payment events — we do not send marketing or promotional emails.
While DEP is designed to improve payment recovery rates, we make no guarantees about specific recovery rates or revenue amounts. Recovery depends on many factors outside our control, including decline reasons, customer behavior, and payment processor policies.
DEP offers tiered subscription plans billed through the Shopify App Store. The Scale plan includes a 1% usage fee on recovered revenue, as tracked by DEP's recovery attribution system. Plan limits (active sequences, emails per month) are enforced automatically. Exceeding plan limits may require an upgrade.
Sequence data, recovery events, and email logs are retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon uninstallation, all merchant data is deleted within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's requirements.
DEP integrates with third-party subscription providers (ReCharge, Loop, Appstle, Seal, Stripe). You are responsible for providing valid API credentials. DEP accesses provider data in read-only mode and does not modify charges, subscriptions, or customer records.
DEP is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for lost revenue, email delivery failures, or issues arising from third-party provider integrations. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for DEP in the 12 months preceding the claim.
